Eye Care Services

Our primary focus is on cataract surgery, as it aligns with our vision to build a credible solution to treatable blindness. Cataracts are by far the most common cause of preventable blindness in Limpopo. We however strive to offer a full complement of ophthalmological services. Please note that we are not currently equipped to treat infants with retinopathy of prematurity.

I have Medical Aid

If you have medical aid, you will be happy to know that we strive to help patients at medical aid rates. Claims are sent through automatically to your medical aid. If your medical aid is depleted, you will however be liable for any shortfall.

Medical Aid

If you do not have medical aid, you are still most welcome to see us but will be expected to pay a consultation fee. Certain special investigations or clinic procedures may incur additional costs, which will be discussed beforehand. Once we have concluded all investigations at your first visit, we will work out a cost-effective treatment plan based on your diagnosis and your specific needs.

Paid via debit/ credit card or EFT. Special investigations, procedures and surgery may incur further costs on an opt-in basis.

I can't afford to pay

If you have very limited income, we encourage you to go to your nearest government clinic or hospital. Most of our subsidised patients are recruited from waiting lists. If you would still like to come to us directly, you will be required to pay the consultation fee. Once you have been investigated fully and you fulfil the requirements, you may be placed on our sponsor waiting list.

An Independent, Private Non-Profit Eye Hospital located in the heart of the Waterberg, surrounded by unspoilt Bushveld. A centre pursuing excellence in eye care, situated only 10 minutes outside Modimolle, Limpopo.

The Facility comprises a fully equipped Eye Clinic as well as two specialised Day Eye Theatres. The buildings were designed to cause minimal disruption to the natural environment and most of the facility incorporates unspoilt bushveld views through large windows.

Frequently Asked Questions

Private patients are however always welcome to come to our facility. All new patients coming to our facility will be expected to pay our initial consultation fee of R850.00. Patients with no or very low income are encouraged to go to their nearest government facility. If surgery is required after diagnosis, patients with no income may, after a vetting process, be placed on our external sponsor waiting list. As sponsors become available, these patients will be helped, but waiting times will be dependant on donor availability.

All new patients will be required to pay a consultation fee of R850.00. Consultation fees for medical aid patients will be charged to the medical aid at medical aid rates. You can pay online when you make your booking or with card when you arrive. We do not accept cash on site, so please phone us if you don’t have card or online banking facilities.
